OK, it's that time once more for me to remind all of you ladies to get your annual exam and PAP smear. Please do not let what happened to me occur in you. I missed one year which brought me to two years without a PAP. Even though it is rare, I developed real cervical cancer. No this was not the easily taken care of kind. This was full blown lesions. Oh, I had the radical hysterectomy, but it spread to my pelvis. Then, I completed radiation with chemo this winter, but it has recurred in my liver. On to drugs once more.

Ok, my point is, do NOT miss one year for your exam. I don't care what people tell you, you NEED an exam and PAP each year. If you have missed for a bit, make your appointment tomorrow and get in soon. Most women will be fine. I was for years.

I love all you supportive ladies and want to make sure you are well taken care of. Treat yourselves to good healthcare and follow-up with a treat to reward yourself for being so goog.

Thank you, Clare...I go every year, every year. Had an irregular when I was 20 and it scared the daylights out of me! In fact, she's the only doc I see...does all my bloodwork and health checkups right there.
