Posted - Mar 31 2008 : 4:13:23 PM I'm getting ready to start a two part 11 day liver cleanse. I do four days of a diet that comes from the Seneca Indians, three days of the master cleanse and then another round of the Seneca Indian part. I've never done anything like this and have been warned that there could be some "interesting" side effects...hmmmm...lol Have any of you ladies done anything of this sort? Want to share your experiences?

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 7:34:21 PM Michelle, This sounds like the type of cleanse we do here. We do it about every 6 months and have used it for a couple of years. I think it works well. I am a tea drinker so I don't mind the tea at night. It is to detox if it's the same one. Of course the drink takes getting used to. This stuff has a licorice smell. Those tablets are difficult to get down. i think we start out taking two each day for ten days then up it to five. Bleck! It's about a thirty day cleanse I think. The fruit thing sounds interesting and it's for the liver? I have a book around here that gave ingredients for a liver cleanse but I'm not sure if you take it more than one time. Then maybe sometime later do it again.

Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 12:28:51 PM I think we are into it about a week and a half. I have trouble gettting the darn capsules down in the morning. I can handle the powder stuff, mixed in milk, and like you drink down as fast as I can. I am not much of a tea lover either, so that is a challenge. My husband wanted to try this, as he has alot of bloating and such in the mornings. Maybe it is making us healthier! At least I hope so.

Posted - Apr 10 2008 : 7:15:23 PM It's something else to do something like this. I think the hardest part has been the Seneca Indian part because I've found that I'm not big on tea or vegetable broth. After I got passed the flavor of the lemon mixture I did pretty good with that part...I was able to get the whole glass down holding by breath twice. It was interesting that the flavor I had the most trouble with was the maple syrup, made it way too sweet.
How long have you been doing yours?

Posted - Apr 09 2008 : 10:22:49 AM we are working on a colon cleanse. does not thrill me much. Take a couple tablets, then a glass of your fav. drink with a powder stuff mixed in, then a tea at night. Yuck is all I can say. But I am sticking with it for a month. No major changes yet. We grow most of our own food, have our own milk, and I drink a lot of kefir. So I don't think I should be in too bad of shape anyways.

Posted - Apr 01 2008 : 07:34:15 AM I started the Seneca Indian portion of the cleanse today. Eating all fruit, except for bananas, and drinking only water. Going just fine so far :)
