Oh Aunt Jenny! I am so glad it is healing. Put some Vitamin E oil on it at night and it will help heal quicker. Do you have one of those cheap foam and metal finger splints? You could splint it for a day or two, or even just at night and help it heal. *hugs*

Thanks for being sympathetic gals...my finger is feeling better..I keep breaking open the cut since it is at a bad spot..may have needed a couple stitches..which I didn't get. The purple has spread over the whole finger now except on the outside of my hand..the spot just above the cut is white and feels sorta numb..wierd looking. I did alot of cooking today and had my finger wrapped up in a paper towel (to keep from bending it at all..that makes it bleed) and then in a latex glove...pretty silly looking, but it worked. I am letting it get air again tonight. I am so thankful that it dosn't seem to be broken. Must have hit in just the right spot. Not like I am a hand model or anything..this too shall pass, right. On to the next bruise..haha.

I to am accident prone. Always full of bruises, scrapes, and burns. I always look like I was in a fight and the loser. I remember in my senior year of high school I took my 5 year old sister for a ride in my new to me car. Middle of winter. We got out of the car to get the mail and when she got back in I slammed the door. Poor little thing her finger was stuck in the door. I opened it quick and when I closed it again I left mine in. By the time we got to the house we both were in tears with purple fingers. My mom was not to happy as she rushed us to the doctor. Both of us broken fingers. My husband always threatens to wrap me in bubble wrap. Hope your finger gets better soon.

I threw it off and stamped on it!! It was totally a scene from I Love Lucy!! My daughter says someone should follow me around wirh a camera!!! Maybe there is a reason we haven't gotten a chance to meet up!!!LOL!!! The two of us!! Hope you feel better sweetie! Hugs!

Oh, Jenny, I know how you feel! I caught my finger in the wringer washer when I was at our cabin last summer and instantly just felt sick. It was on my right hand too, and it was really hard to do anything, but you adapt pretty quickly. Just like your car door, I had to stop the wringer and back it up to get my finger out. Lost a nail, but no permanent damage - hope you're as lucky with that!

My husband milked tonight...but I am going to have to suck it up and milk in the next few days. It isn't his favorite chore for sure..I won't get more than a couple days off. And yep..I nearly threw up when I opened the car door (it totally was closed ON my finger) to get it out. Ugh!

Oh ouch!! Kind of makes your stomach do a flip! I bet milking Mona in the cold is a real treat too. Take it easy, that hurts like crazy.
