It seems like a lot of us are into Middle Eastern dancing! So lets chat! I am wondering if the "Shimmy" program is using it's own names for moves or if they are standard names.
I am pretty sure that the Egyptian Step, Chest Camel, and Turkish Figure 8 are all known names. But what I have been having a hard time is something they call "M$M's" It is where you describe a m in the air with your hip going from fron to back and then forward once again to hit center.
What are your favorite steps, what are your favorite artists to listen to when dancing? Do you make your own clothes or buy them?

Posted - Feb 05 2008 : 5:32:53 PM I just got done with another Shimmy program. I LOVE it. The Season 1 DVD set is $50 and I am seriously thinking of buying it because having to wait for a commercial set to go by is frustrating. Maybe next paycheck!
