Thanks!

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 12:53:05 PM If it only happened once I would not worry about it. I go along with Kay and Anne regarding the dreaming about going. If she has any symptoms that cause concern then definitely have it checked out.

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 12:39:31 PM Ahem...I've done that before - somehow "dreamed" I was going and awakened to a wet and unpleasant surprise! That happened to me when I was pregnant - around 7 months onward - I'm guessing that you would be able to tell if that was the case, however!
That being said, no harm in taking her in for a checkup, too, I wouldn't think...
Best wishes and thoughts to you both!!!

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 11:40:38 AM Oh Holly -- I'm so glad that those things have been ruled out. Maybe it was just the dream thing. I'd sure watch her to see it if happens again. Poor thing!

Posted - Dec 17 2007 : 08:12:31 AM I know this happens sometimes and maybe what happened to your DD. Maybe she really had to go, and started dreaming she was going, she just didnt realize until it was too late. I have talked to several people that have done that too. Of course some of us are embarrassed to say we do since we are adults. I think it comes with being so tired we don't want to get up & then when we start to dream it, our bodies are trying to wake us up to go, but we're not quite there yet.

Posted - Dec 16 2007 : 8:19:31 PM No drinking involved ladies. No obvious signs of a uti. No abuse or extreme stress either - unless you count our power outages. She's the one who told me this afternoon -- she was a bit scared by it, said she was half awake when she realized it. Again NO drinking I know for a fact.

Posted - Dec 16 2007 : 7:56:21 PM It also might be a growth spurt. I know that women can have them even that late and it could affect her pelvic floor muscles. I would consult with a doctor, but I think a lot of things can cause it. I hope she is feeling better soon!

Posted - Dec 16 2007 : 7:45:57 PM Or a urinary tract infection. I would definitely take her to the doctor. And I hate to say it too - but I would question her to see if she had been drinking.
