I am looking for a WOW product no matter what homemade or bought to heal a scar I have on my breast from a mole being removed in Oct. The Dr. recommended vaseline but I'm looking for more of a mother nature healer. I also have stretch marks on my thighs from when I waitressed and would love to get those diminished. Please! Any advice...

Emu Oil goes beyond the surface layers of the skin. It is widely used in the Burn units of hospitals since it acts as a great "carrier"....in other words if want a certain oil or med to absorb deeper mix it with Emu oil.

I have psoriasis and it is the only thing that soothes and heals. I've used it on my dairy goats udders during the winter months when they get dry. I've used it on hot spots on my doggies.

It will not clog your pores either...can't say enough good thing about it.

I used it (alone, not mixed with anything) on just about every part of my body as well as all of my animals and livestock..

Give it a try! Of course, if you are vegan then you will not use it since it's the oil from the Emu bird.

lots of people use my belly balm on various scar tissues. I never thought of it, initially, but i had several people tell me that over the years and they are right! it IS formulated to help skin be supple, elastic, and to prevent scarring...i was just thinking of expanding bellies when i made it, not pre-exisiting scars. :)

Okay - my littlest guy ran right smack-dab into my front door and split open his head so deeply that I had to take him to the ER where they glued it shut. He'll have one he** of a scar on his forehead, but I wanted to minimize it, too, so I looked at that product "Mederma" for scars and saw that they main active ingredient is...ONION JUICE!!! Seriously. It's right on the ingredient list. So I called a naturopath in the largest city in the State ('cause there's not one where I live), and she said that, yes, onion juice is wonderful for bruising and scarring. Just apply it three times a day with your fingers or a cotton ball. It really shouldn't sting much - my little guy didn't flinch, but it DOES smell. The Mederma doesn't smell, but it is expensive.

I hope that helps!!!!

I heard eating healthy fats like nuts and avocado and the using Almond oil helps. I have stretch marks, really bad ones, and I did this and they seemed to have disappeared without leaving the typical "white" lines. I also like the body butters from the Body Shop:

www.thebodyshop.com

When I was growing up, I used to get pretty bruised and banged up, being a tomboy and all. I had scraped knees, pricker scratches, scars from falling off my bike, etc...all over my legs. I for year tried everything and I then bought the Body Shop Brazil Nut Body Butter and it seemed to help my skin tremendously. I also like it for my skin in general as yes, I do tan, and it keeps me smooth, moisturized and just a bit "dewy" looking...

I have also read a good massage will help- nothing too "Hollywood" but something to get the blood flowing to your areas that you want help with.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Heather

Hi Bridget!

I love vitamin E oil on my stretch marks from Pregnancy. It also helped my episiotimy heal very quickly (even my doctor was amazed. He said I looked 6 weeks healed after only 2 weeks). Another thing you might try is a honey infused beeswax and vitamin E oil lotion. Honey is very healing. Use 1 part beeswax to 2 parts vitamin E oil to 2 parts honey. Add move Vitamin E oil if it is too thick. If the honey is too sticky for you, I would suggest using the honey as a sugar type scrub before taking a shower.

I had a real nasty scar from my hystrectomy and vitamin E oil worked great. Twice a day I would squeeze the oil from a capsule and rub it into the scar, it did take awhile but it looks pretty good now.

You could try Vitamin E oil. I've had good luck with it.
