I know Echinacea helps, is there anything besides living on benedryl and antibiotics that anyone can think of to help year long sinus problems from turning in to infections all of the time? I'm tired of weezing
I'm going for my herbals, but I thought I'd ask the much wiser herb and natural medicine ladies here for a bit of help.

Thanks in advance for mercy

I suffer with this the same, Continually. The only relief I get is when I use garlic and drink hot lemon and honey(no tea) just hot water with lemon and honey in it. Right now I have been coming out of it but am fighting the infernal cough.

They just had it on tv about how sinus infections should NOT be treated with antibiotics, doesn't do much good more like a placebo. They said for congestion and stuff use honey and tea and old remedies. Try eBoost also, it's like an energy mix packet with vitamin c and boosts immunity

Annika-

Also Colloidal Silver is really great, but you have to be careful because in a really rare reaction it can actually bond to your cells and you can turn silver!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argyria

Elderberry is an immune booster/anti-nasty-bug miracle. Check out the rave reviews & info on the "Herbal Wisdom" forum:

Sorry about this, Annika. Had it last week, myself...however, I gave up on the herbal things after a time and hit my daytime Theraflu Extreme Cold. It worked in a days time, and I'm back to normal.

Wishing you the same!!!!

Annika-

I would try putting a rice pack on your sinuses every night for 15 minutes to help get the drainage working. Also if you still have your tonsils- make sure they aren't blocked up so your sinuses _can_ drain! Also Mucinex is amazing for sinus infections.

One thing to consider- My mom was told her teeth were causing a lot of her sinus issues. If you still have wisdom teeth- their roots can actually invade the sinuses. Have you had a dental X-Ray lately?

Cutting out dairy works for me, plus LOTS of water. I usually add a dash of lemon juice to my water.
