Posted - Oct 22 2007 : 10:28:45 PM The last few days have been terrible. Since Thursday, I've had pink eye. It doesn't want to go away. I'm using the prescription drops and warm compresses and it's not working. Does anyone know of a different way to get rid of this?? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks girls!
Well, I went back to the docs again yesterday because I began feeling nauseous and lightheaded. As the morning went on, I felt worse. My doc told me that I have a viral infection in my eyes and in my body. Since I have had it for a few day, my body is letting me know to take it easy. She precribed me new drops for my eyes and insisted that I do as little as possible or I will end up in the hospital. Hubby came home from work and took over - he's such a sweetheart, and I went to bed. I just woke up and still feel very run down, and guilty because I slept so long. Doc said to give it about 4 - 5 days and I should be back to normal (normal? lol) Anyway, that's where I'm at now. Bored, tired, and sick. Yuck :(

Posted - Oct 23 2007 : 1:31:35 PM Do you have any coconut oil? When we were traveling, my daughter came down with pink eye, and I didn't have anything else, so I stuck a glob of coconut oil on her eye before bed (I'd heard that it was anti-viral), and in the morning her eye wasn't red anymore.

Posted - Oct 23 2007 : 05:56:30 AM Have you tried the over the counter drops? (http://www.similasanusa.com/products-pink-eye-relief.cfm) You can get them at most grocery stores/drug stores/Walmart -- they are homeopathic and really helped when I had it! You can also try collodial silver drops for a few days. I realize it says viral/environmental but if the prescription drops aren't helping then you may have viral vs bacterial. The Collodial Silver should kill either.
Hope that helps I know it's really annoying.
