any of you gurlz take this (by way of SHOT)? i started it this morning .. have to have one shot each week for a month .. then one shot monthly. honey hunk has been on it for a coupla' years .. and our doctor takes them (he's even younger than we are). i was surprized that it didn't HURT considering how LONG that dang needle was! but then .. i should be used to it .. as i have to take a shot in my stomach every time i eat (diabetes) .. and that's now a 'walk in the park'! just curious to hear who all takes these shots. xo, frannie

Interesting reading here that lack of B-12 can make fibro worse. I'll have to ask my doc about it. I feel like a rag all the time and the pain is unbelievable.

I read once the if you are burning through a lot of B-12 (like needing a shot every day) then you might have a tape worm! I guess they latch on and really suck the b-12 out of you!

LOL Nancy, I was thinking exactly the same thing...Frannie needs MORE energy???
There is a lab you can have done called a Schilling Test. I'm not sure of the details, but I *think* it involves testing to see how much B12 is excreted by the kidneys. You could probably google it.

Frannie--more energy for you???? You will turn into an airplane, you are already moving at a high rate of speed. Well it could be a good thing, I want to see what is in that school house.

I used to give them to many patients in homecare and have taught many people to give them. They are life savers in many cases! I've never had one personally, but think I could use them. My energy just ain't what it used to be!!

I had them when I was pregnant with #1....I miss them! I could feel when it started wearing off and felt so much better on the B12. Supplements have never been the same for me.

My mom takes them every two weeks and it makes a considerable difference in her quality of life. She has CFS and the associated fibromyalgia. Her doctor has now let my DD give her the shots as she's a paramedic and it's worked out really well as now she doesn't have to make the tiring trip into town anymore. Mom says she can tell when it's time for another shot as her stamina and energy go waaay down...within hours of having the shot, she feels significantly better.

I'm not taking shots (yet) but am taking b-12 supplements, last time I went to the doctor he found I was deficient in B-12, iron and low in calcium...

I'll bet those shots hurt!
