Posted - Mar 11 2013 : 07:39:55 AM I posted this under Farm kitchen but I would love to see Mary Jane do a portion of the magazine on root cellar recipes (or maybe the next book). Grab something we all have and make it part or all of your next meal. What do you do with those cans of beets, green beans, or carrots? You've canned up some meat, now what?
I know there is a lot of knowledge out there to take the mundane out of cooking, that or I just need a few more ideas.

Posted - Mar 11 2013 : 6:08:23 PM Ladies,
I don't know if you know this, but as I was reading your topic, I remembered reading about root cellars in the magazine. It is the "No Place Like Home" edition....not sure of the year...the front just reads to display until Nov. 15...but it is her magazine before she started using ads. Anyway, there is an article about root cellars on page 45 of that issue. Recipes are not included in the article. Erica:)
