Looks like 2013 is going pretty well. I was raised Catholic and I like the new Pope. What a nice man. Hopefully there will be more love and peace. (Or am I living in the 1960's?)
Looks like spring is coming early here in Calif.
What does everyone else think?

Having been in retirement for some time, I hope for health, love and focus on doing for others.

I hope that 2013 is a smoother one as we transition more into retirement!

Ahhh yes... the luminarias at Christmastime! Such a pretty sight. I love that tradition.

When I was a child we all did it the old-fashioned way... candles in sand with paper sacks over them. And someone had to go out and light those candles one by one. Wind always howling in New Mexico! Oh my goodness, I wonder how many fires were created!!!

Now there are lovely little kits with electric lights that shine into paper-bag-like-plastic-boxes! =)

Hi Sandy,
My former in-laws lived in Santa Fe. They built a home out near Cerrillos and Galisteo which I loved to visit. It is so beautiful and I was blessed to be able to visit Santa Fe at Christmas and see all the luminarias on the buildings.

Terri!!! That's beautiful!!

Oh my goodness... what a sunshiny breath of spring. Love it.

I live on the High Plains of Eastern New Mexico. We are still way too cold for signs of spring. But you've given me 'hope'!

Here is my first sign of the hope of spring. Even California gets cold now and then so I am looking forward to April and all the new growth and warmth.

Loved reading about your hopes for 2013. They are defiantly worthwhile habits to implement in life. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to have these goals too. Erica:)

Thanks! I love writing, and enjoyed putting my hopes into written words.

Terri, I loved your comment about cats on the site. Kitty kisses... yes... you have a special one! Our Peli gave us a scare last week when she accidentally got herself locked into the neighbor's workout room. She loves humans, but her "togetherness" found her spending 24 hours alone, and us searching the neighborhood with very sad faces.

Thanks to everyone who clicks over to my site and reads for awhile. It makes me so happy to hear from you!

Sandy, thank you for the well wishes for the New Year. Your black cat on your website is adorable. They really are special aren't they.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
