oregonatural	Posted - Sep 14 2012 : 06:16:00 AM Thanks everyone. Bench number 2 is nearly done. After that I think I'll try a willow chair. I used a great book by a woman named Dawn King, published in 06, "Rustic Garden Projects." Great instructions, drawings and photos, tips on using the tools. Also, another book by Abby Ruoff, "Making Twig Garden Furniture" I loved finding these books by women, it gave me confidence that I could do this. I've made lots of small projects to date; baskets, planters, waste baskets, lamp shades and wreath forms from the willow. It's "woman sized" woodworking and allows for lots of artistic interpretation. Here are a couple of the smaller projects. Will post the new bench when it's done.
