Posted - Jul 13 2012 : 10:24:48 AM Hi Sisters, Annie here again. I just love reading the forums because not only do I get to read about what is on your mind, and glean perspectives from your words, but then I get to read and ponder your tagline quotes, which adds another source of wisdom. I was in Home Goods store the other day and saw a journal with the title Wisdom Quotes on it. I immediately thought of my Farmgirl sisters and all the knowledge they encompass. So, now I am writing down your Farmgirl Tagline Quotes in my Wisdom Quotes Journal. It is so interesting and enjoyable. I thought it would be fun for us to post quotes important to us so we can have with a click on the topic a few minutes of reading words of wisdom that can warn, uplift, encourage, and speak the truth about matters. I am going to start it out by a few quotes from others that I particularly enjoy. I also will post several quotes that I have learned from my own experiences in my own words. Feel free to add to the list and you can start your own written journal with the ones that have special meaning to you. Here we go....starting the "wisdom walk" with Farmgirls!
"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we die to one life before we can enter another." Anatole France
"I am wise enough to know that there are some perils from which a man must flee." "You cannot always be torn in two, you have to be one and whole for many years. You have so much to enjoy and to do." Quotes from Lord of the Rings
The following quotes are my [i]Wisdom Truths for a Better Life Enjoy!
"Be yourself with others rather than give yourself away to others."
"Love born of betrayal is better lost than lived."
"Just because you can doesn't mean you should." (others have said this too.)
"Do not break into the run of a wild horse, but pace your strut with direction."
"It takes time to become, to be, and to belong. These are the stages of life."
"Remember my wind-song..What is, is and what will be, will be. What isn't simply is not, and is better off left well alone."
"Keep strong boundaries. We are all born unto this earth. It is where humans live. Therefore we have an inherent right to not only survive, but to thrive on our planet home. This takes work and following a path."
"So much is out of our control, so we need to focus on what it is we really have the power to impact. During these times of uncertainty follow the P's. They have served me well. Planning, Priority, Prayer, Pacing, Patience, Perserverance and Play."
"We can never see around the corner. So we must focus on the present, the here and now, while preparing for what we hope may come about." 'Luck is nothing more than preparedness meeting opportunity.' (Oprah)"We can plan, but then shelf it, and live in the hour at hand or you will miss where you are, and your living will lack richness and dimension of a full experience."
"Find your faith and believe in yourself."
"Use your instincts. When in doubt, don't. Heed your gut feelings, after consulting your head. Uneasiness and unrest is a way our subconscious is giving us a warning. Listen to your mind, spirit, heart, and soul. Listen with all your senses. Rejuvenate, so you can live. This helps fight the compression of time."
"I have noticed that many people don't realize we can create our life's circumstances. Instead of working on their constraints, freeing themselves, they are making choices within the framework of those constraints. And so each person's quest begins. "What can I do? Will you make choices within the framework of your contraints or do the work to free yourself to live the life you choose wisely?"
"Past love is not bound to time and place and can transport the soul to these dimensions over and over again and the memory becomes alive as if you were there or it is here. And then you realize the bittersweet of knowing it is carried within you alone. And whoever is with you this way walks along side you wherever you go but is always out of reach."
"It is as it was in those days that "all men (humankind) are created equal" but it is the servitude that is placed upon them that is not. And so began the rumbings for the unrest of the world."
Best to all of you. I hope you will share your own wisdom quotes and those you enjoy from others' writings.
Be well. Annie
"The turnings of life seldom show a sign-post; or rather, though the sign is always there, it is usually placed some distance back, like the notices that give warning of a bad hill or a level railway-crossing." Edith Wharton, 1913 from 'The Custom of the Country'. |

Posted - Jul 13 2012 : 4:52:10 PM Annie! Thanks for this Farmgirl Tagline Quotes. I love every one you put down. I once saw a tag line from one of the farmgirls, I forget who, but... it went like this: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'Woo Hoo, What a Ride!'" For some reason, I laugh every time I read it, and at the same time, I love it. Marly

Posted - Jul 13 2012 : 4:13:26 PM I have many but these 3 are what I find myself saying most: "Don't get in your own way" (I'm impulsive) and "It is what it is." There is an old yiddish prayer that says "God, I know you are going to help me but please help me until you help me." I like that. What a wonderful idea you are doing. I can't wait to read what everyone else writes. Joey
