I love the sounds of silence. I think you'll enjoy this post about my peaceful front porch.. and I know you'll like my old metal chair. One of my treasures that belonged to my grandparents.

The Silence is my prayer time...I "hear" and "pray" and "feel" and "see" the presence of God to the fullest in the quiet of the night or the dawn of the day.. Blessings girls..

I enjoy the lack of racket when I go on my power walks along the canal bank. It's not silent as silence goes, but it is peaceful with the sounds of the water, the breeze, the water fowl present . . the sounds of nature!

I think that it is in silence that we can gather our thoughts and dreams. These moments help us keep our sanity.

a girl after my own heart. Recently we bought a new car. It came with 3 months free Sirius radio. I did not extend it. Why, they asked? Because when I am in the car, I relish the ride in silence. They did not get it. I love quiet so much.

Thanks Marianne. I treasure that chair.. and have two more. They belonged to my grandparents.

We own a construction company, and our painters sanded the chairs and painted them for me. I felt spoiled... as my Nana was forever doing this chore on her own!

Everyone loves those chairs, and I'm honored to be the keeper!

They say "silence is golden" and I believe they are right. Sometimes a little peace and quiet can be very therapeutic!

Silence is so precious. I wouldn't want to go deaf, mind you, but I do love my quiet times on the farm. :)

If you live by a busy highway like we do there just isn't any, except on early Sunday mornings when people sleep in. Ahhh the silence as I sit on the porch swing and read the Sunday paper before church. I wish you all a bit of silence and peace. Oh, of course those of you who still have children at home, they grow up too fast and move away. Just a little pitter patter would be nice.

Silence - after the kids go to bed, a few minutes on the front porch looking at the black velvet night sky looking at the stars.

God bless,

Ahhhh Silence.....isn't it funny how when we were younger and had to be quiet in school, church and such that it was so agonizing and now as adults most of us only wish we could have even a few minutes of blissful silence.

hugs,

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
