Posted - Mar 10 2012 : 07:36:27 AM Fun to see yo-yos in the latest Mary Jane's Farm magazine! Yesterday I shared a photo of my great-grandmother's yo-yo pillow on my blog.

I'll bet many of us have sweet yo-yo heirlooms... or at least memories of them.

Posted - Mar 15 2012 : 06:44:51 AM I just clicked over to read about the yo-yo swap. What a great idea! But... if I ever get 6 yo-yos made, I think I would covet them! Hee hee!
Still, all this wonderful yo-yo talk has inspired me, and I think it's high time I made some!!!

Posted - Mar 14 2012 : 8:29:25 PM I love the story of the soldier. What a peaceful and healing time that must have been for him.
I've never made a single yo-yo... but I'm really thinking I owe it to my great-grandmothers to make at least one small project!

Posted - Mar 14 2012 : 2:02:33 PM I know of a soldier who made a beautiful Yo-Yo coverlet while hospitalized for PTSD after VietNam. He still has it. It's very colorful. He keeps it to remind him of his recovery. Great idea.

Posted - Mar 10 2012 : 09:12:11 AM Loved the picture and your blogpost. Sometimes it is hard for me to understand how our grandmothers got so much accomplished when they didn't have all the time saving devices that we do. I often wish for a simpler time and I know your frustration of wanting to be creative and getting nothing accomplished. I am bitten by that bug often. It's very frustrating. Michele
