On my last blog post I was inspired to write a short poem about the wisdom of Grandmothers. (link to the blog is below) I dedicated it to the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers and sent them a copy as well. I received a reply that the poem will be present to them!

Anyone who is interested is invited to attend their next gathering in Montana in July! I am so deeply honored to have my humble work given to them. Just wanted to share this wonderful bit of news on this dreary February day. Grandmothers Rule! I knew it!

I'm really enjoying your blog, Susan. Your poem is beautiful. I appreciate your background info on the Grandmothers and the Permaculture story. Keep on writing..

Susan, That is wonderful. The poem is beautiful. I also loved your story of Permaculture and the Old Woman.

That's great! Let's hope that someday soon Grandmothers really DO rule!
