Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 6:31:04 PM After starting a blog three years ago (my oldest granddaughter got me started) I now read many others. Always wondered how they chose their blog name. Mine came about from the loss of my youngest granddaughter. She loved ladybugs and loved to laugh and giggle. I think of her every day when I am on my blog.

Posted - Feb 06 2012 : 4:39:50 PM Gail, It's a small world. I grew up in NY also. Upstate that is. I am not sure what you mean by my other blog. I only have the one. I am ashamed to say I have not posted on there in quite some time but I need to get back to it soon. hugs.

Posted - Jan 26 2012 : 12:41:10 AM My blog name basically just grew from my love of crafting and my chat name. I'm always trying to come up with crafts that are a reflection of who I am. Hence, Tapestry's Imaginings. I should be better about blogging but I kind of get side tracked in crafting and looking for new ideas.

Posted - Jan 17 2012 : 09:53:18 AM I used to call my blog "Rhonda's Ramblings" because that is what it was.
It is now called "Farmgirl in the Meadows" because I am a farmgirl, and my last name is Meadows. I married into a great last name. :)

Posted - Jan 17 2012 : 05:20:06 AM I grew up in SC and then in 2009 I married the love of my life and moved to GA on his farm. I finally got the farm life I've wanted. So hence the name Our Georgia Farm. I just started the blog at the end of 2011, and don't blog everyday...but have enjoyed it so far. I love this topic, it is fun to see how everyone came up with their names.

Posted - Jan 16 2012 : 1:11:59 PM Gail, I think that's a wonderful tribute to your late Granddaughter. I can't imagine that hurt, truly, but writing about whatever you feel like writing about is a good way to get out some of it.
My blog is named, "No Shrinking Violet", because our little one is named Violet, and is no wallflower. To be honest, my blog hasn't been updated in a while because I'm a working mother with a VERY active toddler named Violet, and I don't have much time to write about more than the everyday happenings of our little daily existence, which was actually what the blog started out as, a way for far flung family members to catch up with her, but I'M trying to catch up with her, hence very little blogging gets done!

Marilyn, Just perfect naming it after what makes you happy!
Pam, I don't blame you one bit. I have relatives that I prefer do not know and I don't think they do, but that is one reason I will not be on facebook.
Kris, Is it farmgirl by 40 on 40 ? :) Another perfect name :)
Marian, I knew that you loved pink :)
My blog is named after one of my favorite Bible verses Proverbs 17:22. I was actually praying one morning about if I should start a blog and the Lord gave me the go ahead and the name :)

Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 9:14:01 PM Marilyn I love blue skies and daisies and it would make me smile too. Pam i totally get it. My blot started out private and then I decided I do not care what anyone else thought. They do not have to read it. It is for me. Kris I agree with you that your blot name most definately will keep you on track. Thank you for sharing.

Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 8:31:18 PM I finally realized what I wanted to do with my life - farm. Not on a large commercial scale or anything, just a little family hobby farm to help feed the family in a healthy, clean, sustainable way. I had no idea exactly how we were going to do it, but I knew I wanted to do it before I turned 40. So I guess my blog name helped me stay focused on my goal and held me accountable to those around me. So far with less than six months to go, I'm pretty pleased with my progress. :o)

Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 8:04:00 PM Mine was just "an expression"...I think I originally wanted "an expression of my life" but it was taken or something. So it's "an expression". I have it set to private though, b/c of nosy family members who don't always agree with what I say, think, or write. Learned my lesson! (And I think they did too!)
Gail - I think it's sweet that you named your blog after your granddaughter. Very nice.
Marilyn - I love blue skies & daisies too!

Posted - Jan 15 2012 : 7:27:50 PM I just looked at your blog for the first time. I really love the colors and simplicity of the background. Very nice! And naming it after your late granddaughter is a wonderful idea.
I just started my blog a few weeks ago. I had been trying to decide between five names I'd come up with for over a year. So, I ditched them all and asked myself what my two favorite things were. I came up with blue sky and daisies. So I went with that and it makes me smile every time I see it.
Cheers! ~ Marilyn
