My dad's pear tree is loaded in pears, so I've been having a great time this week making these preserves. The recipe is so fabulous, the flavor so unique... I just wanted to share.

What kinds of preserves and jellies do you like to make?

Oh they are so delicious!!! I hope you'll give this recipe a try.

I have young trees at my place, and this summer my little apricot tree gave us the most wonderful apricots. Just enough to eat them all right down fresh. But I'm thrilled!!! Because now I know what a good tree I have, and I'm looking forward to homemade apricot preserves for years to come. My family is just nuts about apricot preserves on hot buttermilk biscuits!
