Hello again ladies,
Please forgive me for being away so long, but so much has happened these past few months.
I'm not sure if I shared this with you ladies before but my mother passed away. After that I began experiencing some health problems which left me more than just a little under the weather. To this day my doctor is still running blood tests, he thinks I may be lacking in vitamin B12.
I've been tested for MS, Lupus, and RA. Thankfully those tests all came back normal. But as of right now the mystery still continues. I've been in a great deal of pain and discomfort for several weeks now so my doctor put me on Lyrica. It's helped with all symptoms but the cause of them is what I need to know.
I'll know the results of my tests on Monday, I've never wanted a Monday to come so quickly.
I would appreciate your prayers. Thank you all. I've missed you all more than you could ever know.
God bless you all,
Lillie

God bless

Michele, My doctor gave me 7 weeks of Cymbalta. I can not take it as I had a VERY sever reaction after just on pill. Took 48 hours before I could function. If your sister would like the samples please e-mail me. I hate to throw them away but I have no use for them.

Hello,
I am very new to the Forum. I signed up today I have fibro. I have had it for 35 years or so. I just wanted to give you what I hope will be words of encouragement.
You are not alone. Many people have fibro. There everywhere, there everywhere They live very full and satisfying lives. Connecting with them one on one or in a support group will help alot. I would think a google search could help with this. There are also fibro websites with tons of info.
There is a wonderful magazine that is specific to fibro and living with it. Barnes and Nobles carry it. It has cutting edge info. There are many books with very good information available in this day and age. I bet your library has some.
Educating yourself and your loved one will help you and them deal with your physical and mental health.
With this medical problem, pain is inevitable. Suffering is not. Take care of yourself. I will be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Girls, my heart aches for all of you. If you are near an indoor pool, just walk slowly in the water. The water helps support your weight and the exercise will help. Don't over-do it, just walk slowly, swinging your arms. Love and prayers to all. Bonnie

Fibro can be triggered by a traumatic event so maybe the passing of your mother started the ball rolling. My sister has Fibromyalgia and the Cymbalta was really helping her but she has no insurance and medicare won't pay for it so she is currently looking for other treatments.
I hope you can find a treatment and medidcation soon that will help.

thanks for your prayers,
Here's an update ladies. I went to the neurologist yesterday and thank the Lord he said that I was ok. He told me that the pain and discomfort I have been feeling these past few months are more than likely due to a sever case of fibromyalgia.
My regular doctor has now referred me to a rheumatologist for further treatment. All and all I am still so very thankful. Now at least I've been given a direction to go in.
Thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers. God bless you so much.
Love you all,
Lillie

God bless

The more you talk to others you find out there's so many suffering with the same problems. I've been diagnosed with Fibro. and RA and now have 3 herniated disc. Last mri showed alot of narrowing to the spinal cord from the disc problem. Now they are sending me to surgeon. They say exercise is good for the Fibro. but can't do it for the back. It does cause alot of stress being limited in what you would like to do. And the stress gets the Fibro. stirred up. I don't want to go the the surgeon but I may not have a choice. Girls, lets just hang in there together and know that we have each other to talk with and know that we are understood about what it's like. And know that the prayers are going out to all that is dealing with this medical situation that they don't know alot about. There is alot of doctors that don't even recognize Fibro. I'm on ALOT of med's for Blood Pressure and Cholestrol, and would love to get off of them to get on something natural. Take care friends and lots of prayer! Brenda

Lillie, I have been deal with some of the same complaints you have. I have been seeing Dr. for 10 years and have had so many tests that have shown nothing conclusive. Last June I started seeing a Nutritionist, Quantum Biofeedback Specialist, Reiki Master for uncontrollable diarrhea that the doctors wanted me to take steroids for. Took them 10 years and so many drugs I can not count them to decide that I did not have IBS. I have been undercontrol since June 09 due to supplements that I take. She is not coverd by my insurance but she is still cheaper then my co-pays and all natural. 3 weeks ago I was told I had Fibromyalgia because I complained of neck and arm pain along with thigh pain. Put me on Cymbalta which I have a severe reaction to, during my husband's business; Christmas party that we were hosting. Only to have an orthopedic Dr. look at my MRI and tell me he thinks it an auto immune problem. Family Dr. calls back and tells me I have a herniated disk and he wants to send me for steroid shots and he no longer thinks I have Fibro. UGH!!!! I started seeing a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist. It is unbelievable how much better I feel in 3 weeks and no bad drug reactions. I even feel like I can start doing some mild exercise. It's been a long journey but I feel that I am well on the road to recovery through all natural devices. Make sure you are taking a good vitamin and eating good. Try to stay positive.

Hello again sweet ladies,
I can't thank you all enough for all your thoughts and prayers, you are all angels.
Well, here is an update on my health situation. My doctor called about the results of my tests and said that they still couldn't find out what the problem is. Of course I was crushed to hear the news. I was hoping that they would give me an answer.
I go to see a neurologist on the 11th of this month, and more tests will be done. In all truth, I'm so tired of tests, I've been poked so many times with needles I'm beginning to feel like a pin cushion. Grrrr.
My husband and family have been wonderful, my husband had even stayed home from work for a few days to take care of me when the pain was so great I could hardly move. The burning under my skin was the worst. I got to where I couldn't sleep or eat, I lost four pounds in a week. It was awful!
I'm keeping my spirits up by continuing to do the things I love like crocheting, sewing, knitting, and of course praying and reading all the scriptures I can on healing. I do believe in miracles and I know God can do a miracle for me.
Thank you again ladies, your thoughts and prayers have meant the world to me. I can't even begin to tell you how much you all mean to me. Just knowing that I have farm sisters everywhere praying for me brings tears to my eyes and that ever familiar lump to my throat when my heart is filled with so much emotion. I meant what I said, you are all angels.
May God bless each and every one of you and all your families, and many blessings to your farms!
Love you all,
Lillie

God bless

Lillie ~

This is my first post here, and I just wanted to tell you that you will be in my thoughts and prayers - Not only because I'd be happy to offer prayers anyway, but also because I have somewhat of an idea of what you are going through. I have recently been experiencing health problems and all signs are pointing to MS. I will be seeing a neurologist in March, and until then I'm just tied up in knots. You will certainly be in my prayers, that the docs will find and answer for you, and an effective course of treatment.

Welcome back Lillie. I was diagnosed with RA almost 8 years ago. I was negative in the blood test, but my Doctor used a steroid trick to finally diagnose it. It took me a couple of years but I am so much better now. Rene Groom has a blog from May of 2009-go to archives at the Rural Farmgirl blog. She had something similar and she talks about it on that blog. Sorry for the loss of your Mother, I hope you feel better soon!

I'm so sorry! My GM recently went through a similar thing. She is doing much better now and they did finally find out what was wrong with her. I'm sure they will be able to figure it out for you too.
