Posted - Oct 06 2009 : 10:03:17 AM Hi Ladies! I haven't been on for a while now.I was going through some personal diffculties. I ended my engagement with my fiance because he wasn't looking for a job. I couldn't work and come home to him while he sat on the tv. Plus I want to leave the city and be out in the country. He sucked all of my positive engery out of me. I didn't realize it till after I left him. So I am now in an apartment with my best friend and I am focusing on my self and trying to deciede where I would like to move to. I want to move north, Washington or Oregon. I really like Washington. I have to give myself a couple of months. So in the mean time I owe some of you sisters projects. Please bear with me. I know I owe you and I am going to work on them. It is going to help reinspire me to do what I love again! But of course a small reminder would be awesome as well. I know I owe: Dutchy an apron I have the christmas in July swap I owe a reusable bag to....I have to look that one up. I also have a couple more. I've missed being here I just didn't have the energy to get on! Farm Girl Hugs!

Posted - May 24 2010 : 11:23:40 AM Good for you for being such a strong woman. I see this all the time and it's sad how some women just complain and do nothing about it. Men sitting at home doing nothing but sponging off you. My cousin in in this sort of situation right now and my family's furious with this lazy man who she's supporting (along with his son from a previous relationship). They aren't married thank God, he's just sponging off her. She has horrible self esteem issues and thinks because of her weight issues that this is all there is, that know body else would want her. I'm so sad for her and we are all hoping that she will get fed up and give him the boot. Any woman that tolerates being in such a relationship doesn't think much of themselves. The good news is now that you've freed yourself from Mr. Not Right, you open yourself back up to meeting a really good man.
It always makes me smile to hear story's of strong women who take care of themselves. I know it's not always easy (I'm one of them), but we can do it! |

Posted - Oct 18 2009 : 09:44:26 AM Laura,
I echo what everyone else has said, "It is good that you realized that your fiance was holding you back." Sometimes we get so blind sided that we don't realize what a relationship is doing to us. It is good that you found that out early. It looks like you know what you want. Go For It!

Posted - Oct 12 2009 : 10:36:09 PM Thanks everyone! It feels good to be back. I finally got all of my books and magazines unpacked. I am still having trying days but know in my heart that I made the right choice. Now I just need to get all caught up on my reading. I am off on Wednesday so I might be doing some heavy duty reading! Any suggestions of places to move too? I'm open to ideas! Farm Girl Hugs!

Posted - Oct 06 2009 : 11:48:26 AM Hey Laura. I'm so sorry about the breakup. But so glad you found out now instead of later. I do hope you get to the place where you can move to the country soon. You sure can breath lots easier out here. And think, too. So I'm sending you lots of good thoughts and wishing you luck in your search.
