I actually kindof like recliners- but they have to be sized for a woman. The man sized ones aren't comfy for me. My grandma found some in leather that you can't tell are recliners until you recline in them... but my guy in a very unguy like streak- hates recliners! LOL
Contrary Wife Posted - May 27 2009 : 06:23:46 AM
You are right about THAT, lol!! What is IT about those recliners that men love, I mean, I sometimes sit in my DH's chair, but I don't think it's that comfortable. Face it, those recliners are just U-GU-LY!!!!

Ha, I had to show this to the hubbs, and I told the story, etc, and OF COURSE he was appalled that the man's wife put his beloved recliner out by the trash with a free sign on it. Men??????

ha-ha. dontcha just love people! (although, kristin I am not so sure the horses were as amused by their digs as I was).. ha-ha, they had that look like, "they could use a break from the "humor").. hahahah :) I think the other horses in the neighborhood may have been laughing at them :)

Rene, I am so glad that people do crazy/funny things like that in other places outside of the South. Makes me feel a kinship with the world. LOL!

that is hilarious..but hey might as well ride in comfort eh? LOL that's definitely some good old ingenuity ...would have loved to have seen the look on his wife's face after that LOL sounds like the guy had a bucket load of humor and wasn't afraid to express it either..albeit in a quirky sort of way. good picture. I thought you meant you had to talk to the horses! I have done that before. That is a very smart farmer. And he gets to keep his chair, too.

Okay, well YA! I had to pull over and talk with them...They were "working up the garden" (true story)...They said that the wife was gonna through out his favorite chair.. He came home and it was sitting outside on th highway with a "free" sign on it. I will save you the next few words..... but, let's just say he wasnt in agreement with her decision.. SO, in true farmboy fashion.... he screwed it down to some wood and Wala...... his tractor seat! As he smiled his toothless grin at me, he seemed somewhat please with his enginuity! And why not! hahahahah.....

Did you see anyone with them to ask what in the world they were doing? I would have had to wait just to see. That's so funny.

What were they doing? Just sitting in any easy chair and letting the horses pull them around the field? You mean they weren't charging passers-by for rides as well? They could have really cashed in on this novelty ride. Ha! Beautiful pair of horses!
