Well I checked my library system and all they had was one published by that name in 1975. So I order one from amazon along with From Seed To Seed. I ordered with 2 day shipping so it should be here by the middle of the week.

Cheryl I looked at the book rather quickly last spring and then purchased a different companion book. However, I am going to borrow it from my friendly library and read it this time!!!

Congrats on the new Maven job!!!

Cheryl, I have the book and have read it and I used it last year in my garden. Plan on re-reading it and using it this year in my garden.

Good afternoon Mavens,
I just got home from a fun few hours at our local livestock auction. Dh & I have both attended them before (in our separate married lives)> it was fun to see again. Boy can those auctioners talk fast! No we did not buy nor bid on any of the sheep or cattle, or horses, It was just fun to be there. Then I stopped at the Thrift, found a few cute things, 4 vegetable garden row markers kinda whimsy and a springy tablecloth for my table and a mini cast iron corn bread stick pan. ( I am posting them later on my blog) We Got home & the neighbor brought over a Huge basket full of fresh veggies. They had gone to Costco and were over-loaded with fresh vegs..like lettuce, peppers, spinach, asparagus, carrots, broccoli, brusselsprouts grean beans & peas. We wont need to buy vegetables for the next week.. I gave her part of the 10 lb bag of oranges we bought along side the road, (I love stopping at these stands,)It is good to have such good neighbors to trade stuff with,. I gave her a start of the MaryJane sourdough and her husband was really excited about having it. Inn these times whenthings are hard its a good feeling to share isn't it?

Way to jump into the job, Cheryl! You're doing great.

Yep, CLT is the planned book for February. After that it's up in the air. I have the book already and have started using it in planning our garden. I've been jumping around but have mostly stayed in the veggie section. Dawn has read it and posted a garden plan in the henhouse.

We don't have members per se. When the selection is announced, those who are interested post to that thread.

God bless -
