Posted - Oct 15 2005 : 2:50:39 PM I was upset to hear that Carla Emery has died. If anyone wants to know more go to her website and there is information about her death. She came to our area in the spring to lecture at our food coop. She was such an inspiring woman and was to return this spring. We will truly miss her.

Posted - Dec 30 2010 : 6:57:02 PM I have the Carla Emery book when it was not a bound book but pages with three holes. What a book and what a woman! I wish I could have heard her speak. I think that Jackie Clay from Backwoods Home magazine is alot like her... I am just a "wannabe". I love reading what these women have accomplished. |
