Wow, Jo! Those tremors ARE unsettling - I'm so glad that things have calmed down and that you're okay - I firmly believe that it's better for Mother Earth to let off a little "stress" at a time instead of saving it up! ...actually, same for people!

XOXO, Libbie

JO,
I JUST E'MAILED YOU. My cousin lives in Anchorage and he says there have been several shakings of late. When we wee there to visit we saw a lot of the damage the one in the 60's did to the land. Also when we were there to visit there was a couple of rumbles. My cousin's wife keeps a glass tray by her bed with with tiny bottles on it, and they rattle at the smallest rumble, so that is how she keeps track. She is a Doctor in Anchorage and her office building is on wheels.

I went to the earthquake page, there were like 8 little earthquakes all day around Alaska. Mother earth is letting off a little stress today I guess! I feel them when I'm downstairs on my computer. Such a weird feeling! Alaska gets half of the nations earthquakes, kind of crazy, my dog barked when it happened!! I wish it would snow more!!! night girls. jo

Stay safe Jo!! It is nerve racking! I used to live in Calif right on the San Andreas fault..we felt alot of earthquakes but never had one centered very near us. I guess it is likely to have one here too...but never has there been one I have felt since we moved here. You take care!!

We get earthquakes (itty bitty ones) here in Arkansas every once in a while. We are on the New Madrid Fault Line. "They" say that we are due for a MAJOR earthquake in this area in the next 5 to 10 years. We bought earthquake insurance last year. It is ONLY about $200 bucks a year!!! A GREAT investment in my opinion. Most regular insurance wont cover eathquake damage.

Jewelry, art, baskets, etc.

I never thought of Alaska having earthquakes! Learn something new everyday! Are you in the region along or at the end of the San Andreas fault? The eastcoast has very rare occurences but usually barely detectable. Stay safe Jo!
