My sister attended college at Humboldt State Universty. I went to visit her a couple of years ago, and was able to visit the "Campus Center for Appropriate Technology" up there - it's a "house" that demonstrates the latest environmentally friendly building and living technology in a residential setting. Their website has some really good information on it - I just thought you might be interested... Here's the link: [http://www.humboldt.edu/~ccat/]. If you look on the left column of the homepage, you'll see links to things like sustainable building and nontoxic homes and things like that. It's pretty neat...
