in the bathroom in the kitchen (not in the cupboards thank goodness!)
what can i do(naturally) to rid of them more permanently?

diatomaceous earth is safe for people and pets. The only thing I have ever found to rid us of the ants is Terro. It has to be up where neither children nor pets can get to it but it takes care of the ants in short order and for the whole season. Of course it is not natural but very effective.

Try ground cinnamon. I had to sprinkle some in the bathroom window as the ants were coming in. also I sprinkled some outside under the window and they are gone. Also if you sprinkle some in the garden where you plant the cinnamon drives them away.

put a little jelly and borax missed together in a small cup (mini one) or saucer and let them eat. The borax will get brought to their home and the whole crew will be poisoned.

I have just purchased natural stuff from eartheasy.com called diatomaceous earth. It's supposed to be very safe for pets and myself, but it does something to the ants bodies when they touch it. I'm getting ready to use it, so I will re-post when I know it's efficacy. |

We had ants because of the cat food on the floor. My husband make a bait of borac acid and honey. Put it down and they are gone. If you have meat eaters, use borac acid and juice from a tuna can and it will do the same trick.

I found a site on pinterest that has to do with natural ant stuff. You can check it out and see if there is anything you might want to try. naturalantkiller.net I haven't tried any yet since the ant have not shown up yet in our place. Hope something works for you.

I have heard to use a bayleaf. Just put in and around where you see them. Let me know how this goes.
