Does anyone know of a really good natural carpet cleaner that can be used in a steam cleaner? I cannot handle all the chemicals in store bought products.

Blessings,

Judy

You shouldn't need anything in a steam cleaner but water. In fact, the steam cleaner I have warns against using anything but water. Mine comes with a special pad for use on carpeting. What kind of steam cleaner are you talking about -- one of those giant things you rent in grocery & hardware stores, or the kind like the Shark ones we've discussed in another thread? That's the kind I'm referring to when recommending plain water.

I wonder if white vinegar would work? I use it to clean almost everything else. Maggie
