Hi ladies. Does anyone know of another way to get rid of pantry / flour moths? I normally use the traps you can buy at the hardware store but it drives me insane to pay the prices they ask for them.

Would be nice to have something that kills them. But I guess a repellant will have to do for know.

I just wanted to say that taking everything out of the cabinets and finding the source of the moths is the most important step in getting rid of them. I try to freeze all my flour for at least a couple of days to kill off any eggs that are already there also. I also store it will bay leaves tucked inside the container. I do agree with the price of the traps, they are outrageous.

I have heard of using the bay leaves but never the cinnamon. Is there anything that kills them? I'm thinking just having them leave is a temporary fix.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

I did not know bay leaves would send the moths packing.

I have used cinnamin and bay leaves to rid my cabinets of them. I really had them bad one year and ended up buying the traps. You are right they are sooo expensive.

I put bay leaves in every cabinet. It drives them out. Then as they hatch they leave. It works well on drug store beetles as well.
