Posted - Feb 07 2012 : 12:45:11 PM Hi all: I found this great way to wash any kind of floor. It's made from Libman and it looks like the Swiffer Wet Jet BUT you fill container (shaped like a bottle) with any kind of liquid you want. AND no more purchasing disposable pads cause this comes with a cloth pad that is washable. I am attempting to take a pic of it to post. I just love it. Green all the way!

Posted - Mar 23 2012 : 11:04:24 AM I just bought one last night. Plus there's an offer on the Libman website for a FREE Micro-Cloth. I will be using it tonight after dinner. Can't wait.

Posted - Mar 19 2012 : 07:09:06 AM Not to harsh everyone's squee, and sorry to be late chiming in, but there's another alternative with what I think is far better "green" cred: the rubber broom/mop on a wooden pole thing. Just throw a (washable) wet washcloth on the floor under it and off you go. You can use water and white vinegar, or anything you like, as your wetting solution. I have two of these things and they work great, especially in corners and along baseboards. Without a wet washcloth, they made a great broom, even on rugs, to get up cat hair and stuff. You can even take the "business end" off to use as a window squeegee. They're cheaper than the Libman gizmo. Here's one source I found for the product I'm talking about if you want to see what it looks like: http://www.simplygoodstuff.com/rubber_brooms.htm?gclid=CLna1MSP864CFYNo4AodBA5ALw. I'm sure you can get them elsewhere, although I've never seen them in stores. By the way, I've had mine for almost 10 years! Might be worthwhile to just check it out. |

Posted - Mar 17 2012 : 6:10:09 PM This seals the deal for me. I was wondering about which one to get and with it being a much more "green" alternative this one is the one for our home. Thank you so much for the information.

Posted - Feb 21 2012 : 08:27:38 AM Hi Lora: I have actually washed the pad many times since I purchased it and it washed beautifully...just let it dry on the cloths line not in a dryer.

Posted - Feb 21 2012 : 08:23:01 AM That thing is cool. That is going on my list of "To Get" for the new house! We aren't going to have any carpets, so that thing would be perfect! I bet we could make more of the pads from old towels, too!

Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 3:02:03 PM I have one, paid less than $10.00 for it in California, and got it at Wal-Mart...works good as long as you sweep well before, throw pads in washer and hang to dry..

Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 10:57:05 AM That looks great! I had the chemicals in the Swiffer Wet, but I also hate using a mop and bucket. I will have to try and fine one. Thanks for the idea!

Posted - Feb 08 2012 : 06:10:36 AM Here in New York it cost $25.00 but you never need to replace anything....no batteries to run it or a specific liquid for cleaning. I know you can purchase the pads but not sure how much they cost. The pad is very sturdy and personnally think it will last a life time. Enjoy, I am loving this!
