My white refrigerator & freezer work as a central message board and life organizer in the kitchen. I write on the frig & freezer with dry erase markers. Easy to wipe off later. I get the markers with a magnet attached so that they stick to the frig when not in use.
On the frig I write a list of foods that I have pre-cooked for lunches and dinners for the week, so I know what I am looking for in the frig or freezer. When I eat the last of it up, I erase it from the list. I also write down appointments, work schedules, chores & the to do list, important dates coming up, people I need to call, etc. My husband & I also write notes to each other on the frig. This really helps on very busy days when we are running in different directions. Two magnetic calendars hang on the frig to keep us informed of our variable work days. I keep a careful budget--so I use a magnetic clip to hold receipts, and the spreadsheet we use to write down what we spend each day. I find that when it is all organized in one central place, I don't have to keep it in my head.

Our fridge is covered in stuff at the moment, but I may change that! I hung a white board above the sink in the kitchen (no window) a couple of years ago and it was the best idea ever! We all use it constantly! The only thing I would do different is get a magnetic one if I have to replace it.

Do what you love, love what you do.

Never thought a dry erase marker would come in handy for the fridge. Thanks for sharing, way cool!! I just used to fill it up with magnets ,now it has a new purpose.

Super idea! Thanks for sharing!

Sobyn, I framed the nicer artwork from my daughter and put it all on one wall in our bedroom. Still have it today and she's 27 (and an artist)! Even her friends thought that was really cool.

That is a great idea! I never know that dryerase marker would come off! My mom had a "wall" that she would call my "Art Gallery" and all my artwork would go there. :) You could try that!

Starbucks and sushi to green fried tomatoes and corn pudding-I wouldn't change it for the world.

Never thought of writing directly on the fridge with a dry erase marker. Great idea!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?
