I wouldn't use the peroxide full strength. If I were to use it I would half the mixture with distilled water and then add peppermint or cinnamon oil. I remember talking to a dental assistant about using peroxide to rinse with and she recommended to dilute it.

Posted - Jun 16 2009 : 12:34:45 PM Cheery, I have used peroxide for a mouthwash, but I added a little bit of water to it so it would,nt be full strength. My fathers dentist onece told him to do that for a irrataited gums. I suppose that the peppermint oil would give it a boost. Let me know what you think. Laurie
