Posted - May 25 2009 : 10:17:12 PMPlease we've tried so hard to keep our yard chemical free!(the house and yard had not had anything done to it for 15+years when we bought it 9 years ago.So we are nearly 25 years "organic" both the gardens and the yard as a whole.Does anyone know of a way to get rid of them without chemicals? We have young children, grandbabies and various health concerns so this is truely important to me.(so far we've only spotted one small spot with "sawdust"and that's outside. thanks!

Posted - Jun 03 2009 : 08:08:31 AMCarpenter ants can do more damage then termites. We had a bad case of them here at our house when we moved in 7 years ago. We had to hire Terminex to finally get rid of them. We have kept the service since then since we have woods on each side of our house. Good luck on trying an organic way of getting rid of them. They are awful!
