I have been off work since Thanksgiving but still have tons of projects that needed my attention. I have used wood from a crate to make cold frames and signs, I have made new curtains and valences from green material, and have refused to purchase anything that I don't know where or how it was made! Sometimes I have to wait longer to find what I need but I know its worth it! My latest need is a set of benches for my table. The chairs just havent lasted long enough even though its been 10 years. I am having a friend make them from untreated local lumber. Not only will they last longer but they will cost about a 5th of the store bought price.

Anyone else doing these kinds of projects??
