I ordered the Idea Book from Amazon on Friday. I paid extra for 2-day shipping but it's worth it to me, LOL!
I can't wait to get it! :-)

Hugs..

I got the "Idea" book from my hubby for Mother's Day and just picked up the "Stitchin' Room" at Costco for $15
I am so inspired! I really need (um, want) the one on Farm women. That has great photos- and I'm so visual, tha tthe images are what inspire me more than the stories and things. Carol- you really do a great job!

I'm bent on getting a milk cow.
I have a milk goat herd, but I'm thinking every woman needs her own milk cow now! ")
I'm going to have to work on my husband about the latest idea...

I got my stitching book yesterday! Yippee! It was so much fun to sit down last night and read through it. I love the good explanations of different embroidery stitches - the instruction are easy to understand. And the photography, as always, is beautiful! Love the new book!

I'm going crazy! I ordered my book almost a month ago and it hasn't come yet. I checked and it turns out Amazon still had my old address so it will have to go to Utah then up to Portland!! I thought I had notified everybody!

I guess someone is trying to teach me about patience. At least I have something to look forward to.

Patricia

Mine came, end of last week! hooray hooray! The photographs are so lovely. And surprisingly I noticed an aquaintance I'd lost track of mentioned in the back of the book in the "thank yous"! I'll have to send her a note through the farm. Isn't it amazing how women are able to connect through MJ and her work?

Yeah, my book came today! I can't wait to sit down and devour it. Not today though. Our 25th anniv. is today and hubby is taking me out tonight. Guess it can wait one more day. I did skim through and the pictures are wonderful! Mary Jane signed it too, thanks for that.

My Stitchery book arrived yesterday and you can all guess where I spent my afternoon! It is just beautiful, Mary Jane, and it inspired me to dig out my embroidery that has been tucked away for over 10 years. Found a partially completed tea towel with chickens on it that I had started and finished it off last night. Thank you for all of the inspiration!

Thanks, Julia! I have to say, however, that nothing beats a farmgirl in an evening gown...on her Jane Deere! Now, all that thing needs is a custom pink paint job.....

Libbie- It’s amazing! I am such a sewing Rookie, but this book has me all worked up and in a lather to try some of these projects! Nothing like seeing such beautiful projects to get you motivated to learn a new skill, eh?

Yep - that's me! I'm SO proud to be in this book!!! I received mine yesterday, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about sewing and needlework projects since. It's even been hard to garden! I keep thinking that I sure could garden better in a new apron - maybe one with a crocheted edging...or a little embroidery... Isn't the book great?!?!?!?

Mine came today, yippee! I see a photo of Libbie :) in a cute apron (love the cap, too!) It's a beautiful book, and mailed very quickly--
Thanks so much,

I was looking into getting the book because it mentioned Tatting. I only needle tat though, and rarely find patterns for needle tatting. Is the books patterns for needle tatting or shuttle tatting?
Alee Posted - Apr 26 2007 : 4:36:01 PM
Isn't the book amazing? I absolutely _love_ the photos! The colors are so rich and the photos themselves are so crisp and clear. I know that sounds funny, but my photos never turn out half that nice! All the projects are so beautiful. I can't wait to get started!
