Having never been much of a doll lover, my daughter, almost 3, is turning out to love baby dolls as much as her stuffed animals. The story featuring the Angellic Doll Hospital in Naperville, IL just really touched me, and I contacted her to get a "gently loved" baby for my little one for Christmas. Always a recycler, and a make do with gal, I haven't found a baby in a modern day store that spoke to me, but I loved Angel's philosophy about resale of gently used and refurbished dolls. I contacted her via email before the Thanksgiving holiday and she responded. We'll be in touch more during the week after "black Friday" craziness is over! I'm hoping she can match Violet with a sweet, soft little baby to love!!

My mother has a very old doll that was given to her when she was little--brought all the way from Wyoming! She's a "cowgirl" with a real suede skirt and silk/satin blouse and leather booties. Such a pretty face, but she needs to be cleaned and repaired--I was hoping that I might send her to the doll hospital for my mom's birthday in January. Also, my Shrinking Violet doll that was given to me when I was a toddler has been broken since....I was a toddler. She sits downstairs in the basement. Wonder if they could make her talk again!?

I am so happy to have read the article. I have been trying to "repair" my DS ewok dolls and I have thought of contacting them for help.

God bless,

I loved that article too! I was fortunate enough to meet Angel at a get together last year. She is very sweet and talented.

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
