The title says it all: Bought my first package of Budget Mix this week (it just arrived today!) and I have high hopes for it. I desperately need to find a way to come up with nutritious, organic dinners to serve my family that don't require a whole lot of time and effort to fix. Corwyn was looking at the package (and the recipe for peanut butter cookies printed thereon) and was like "oooh, peanut butter cookies..." I told him to put it down, and that he couldn't use up that package to make cookies, but that I'd get more. :D

Anyway, I saw that for the regular and whole-wheat budget mixes, there was a tote bag special where you get 2 lbs of Budget Mix in a gorgeous totebag with a copy of the "Farm Kitchen" issue and a pattern for an apron, but apparently it's not available with the gluten-free version. Please have a gluten-free version! I would love to get the tote bag special, but both of my sons are allergic to gluten (among other things).

Even without the totebags though - Thank you, thank you, thank you for making a gluten-free version of your budget mix! I had been reading all the Bakeover recipes and budget mix recipes in despair, wishing that I could make easy, nutritious, yummy bakeovers for my family, and lo and behold - I can! Yay! The boys were really excited when I told them, too. They get very frustrated by the limitations on what they can eat, so the idea of having a whole new avenue of delicious possibilities open to them is hugely popular.
