After this summer's spread about the farmgirl fabric line in the MaryJanesFarm Magazine, and after seeing it in person at Farm Fair- I am SO excited to see that they are selling it direct from the website now! How awesome is that?! Check out this link: http://shopping.maryjanesfarm.org/s.nl/sc.2/category.3632/.f

Posted - Sep 06 2009 : 6:24:38 PM I think I am going to buy that one, Mary! I love the Lollipop apron and the thing that frustrates me about patterns is the cutting out! Kits seem like just the key I need!

I think the issue with the shipping is that you have a Canadian address. Since we only have UPS set up for real-time shipping calculation on our shopping site, it has to pick a Worldwide or Next-Day type of shipping, which, of course, is expensive.
We always pay attention to that when the orders come in, and switch the shipping to the (much) cheaper (when it comes to these kinds of shipments) US Postal Service. You just never get to see it on your side while placing the order, since it happens via good ol' human dexterity of mind and hand on our side afterwards.
So I think that's why your shipping showed that much. Gabe |

Posted - Sep 04 2009 : 4:24:08 PM Diane- When I just did a test order (went almost all the way through, just didn't checkout) I got to pick the shipping option out of 4-5 options and my total only came to $47 (Fabric plus shipping) for 4 yards of the first fabric listed. You might want to check and make sure you didn't accidently put in 8 yards (aka submit 4 yards twice, the shopping cart remembers you even if you aren't logged in). At first my total was closer to yours but then I realized I had accidently submitted 4 yards twice.
Just look at the left hand side of the screen and you can "View Cart". I hope that helps!
