OH MY! MJ did you write this issue especially for me? It is absolutely beautiful. I am serious when I say it maybe be...probably is...no it absolutely is the best issue to date. It is just lovely. Thank you thank you thank you! I am beginning to feel human again. I have been in some strange mode of grief (my mom's death has taken its toll) for over a year now. This issue is inspiring at the very least.

Thank you for the push. I needed it.

You all are too sweet! Thank you for your enthusiasm about Aria and I. It is quite a thrill for me, let me tell you! I've been journaling this journey in every detail and the fact that MaryJane thought my musings worthy enough to gloss a page in her magazine, well...it's too much! I'm so grateful. So many amazing people throughout this issue and all of her issues.. I never cease to be amazed!! 3 cheers for MaryJane!! ~julia

When should we expect the Feb/March issue to come to our homes? The last 2 issues have been very late getting to me in Louisiana, but I am happy that my subscription has been extented at the end for the missing or late issues.

My husband was a beekeeper for quite a few years. I helped a bit but have an irritating reaction to beesting LOL. It's been hard to find healthy bees, lots of beekeepers at least in Northern NY have suffered losses to large to recoupe. My husband and others have said all along that the very chemicals that were and are being used to treat the trachea and verroa (parden the spelling) mites that plague a lot of bee colonies are also what is killing off one of our most precious resources. We are going to be starting over again in the spring and starting with a couple of colonies that we know are from a non-chemical apiary. From there we will just take care of them and make sure they have enough honey to get through the winter. The following spring/summer is everything looks good we will split the colonies and hopefully have 4. They will be raised without chemicals. I plan on helping in full gear of course! But between the honey and the wax possiblities I think we have a winner!

Libbie, it feels like FOREVER since I've seen your name! I'm thrilled to see you again! My year, as you are all well aware of has also been very trying. This issue, I don't know...the urgency to nurture Spring and Life in general resonates very deeply with me right now.

Susan, I don't know that I knew your mom died more than a year ago. I am so sorry for your loss and your continued grieving that I'm sure will only find some softening with the gentle healing of time. It makes me think of Valentine's Day coming up and the death of MaryJane's mom...

Aunt Jenny, always smiling when I read your name and your posts!

Cheryl, I don't know you very well yet but I've been seeing your posts too!

This edition is particularly lovely....I've been savoring it and nibbling at it that a creamy delicious dessert that I want to last and last and last...

many smiles and farmgirl spirit! ~julia

Susan - thank you so much for writing this. I can't wait to see the new issue, but I, too, have been in a sort of weird place for a year or so, and it's time for the sun to shine - I see bright rays headed in your direction, too! Much love, bright days and inspiration-filled nights...

XOXO, Libbie
