Posted - Apr 11 2025 : 2:11:08 PM We brought home our borrowed bull today! I am getting super excited for a spring calf next year. He is a fairly docile guy and has fit in with my 2 right from the get go. The kids have nicknamed him Bullton! Looking forward to our next adventure!

Winnie, I wish that was true. My husband went out yesterday to speak to the workers and see if they knew of the plan. The lot directly behind us will be only a half an acre but wider rather than longer, so the path they are making right now will be the road. Which is not very far from our cows fence line. They also informed him they will be throwing in 26 homes behind us. They are smashing them in like sardines! I have no clue how our small town can handle this kind of growth.

Posted - Apr 15 2025 : 4:33:10 PM Krista, I hope this new land sale ends up being Ok after all . It is hard to let go of the open space you have enjoyed in your current location, and perhaps it won't happen or not be as intrusive as you dread it can or will be. Keep us posted.

Posted - Apr 14 2025 : 2:00:25 PM Oh Krista, maybe it will be a long, long time before the one closes to you is sold. It's kinda like where we live, we don't have a view to lose, but in 38 years more homes have been built and the highway widened to 6 lanes from 2.We have 3 acres of woods. At least if the farm land that backs up to us is sold for a subdivision ,it would be 2 acres from our house.right now it's still a massive cornfield each year. About a mile from us farmland was sold for a solar farm it is vast! Still don't know what it will look like. Construction every where when I pass on the way to the peach orchard farmstand. It's right next to the orchard. There are rolls and tolls of hay everywhere? And long silver cones. They did put up a sign that said, solar farm under construction, everyone was nervous about what it was to be. Connie Sue

Connie Sue and Heather, sadly that view wont last very long. The lady who owns the land sold it to a house developer. They have started working the ground this week to prep the lots. I am very bummed. I am keeping my fingers crossed they don't sell the lot behind us for awhile. The houses they built in the first phase are huge and will block a lot.
