Getting the apiary ready. Bees come next week ! Made the stands and stone bases for $0 in one weekend. All free scrap I had and left over eco friendly paint. Going to lay stone around the area to minimize critters and weeds (still will need to weed but not mow). I’m so nervous as I’m new to bees but proud that I got these done without spending any more money!

Thanks ladies! I already had to remove the bottom boards as we hit triple digits here in south Texas but the bees are so happy and buzzing around the property and bringing back loads of pollen. My coach says I likely won’t have to supplement their nutrition at all because I have acres of wild flowers, plus my potager garden with flowers, herbs, fruit trees and more. Won’t get honey till next year but I’m so pleased to hear all the buzzing and just know it will lead to more wildflowers next spring too!
