Your two darlings inspired me to get some of my own - I've just put down a deposit on two angora buck kids - one red and one black. They are about the same age as yours and I can't wait until they are weaned and ready for pick up!

Hi all! I am so glad you ask, they are doing wonderful!
Today's adventure was for them getting let out with the ladies in one of the pastures. It took me walking out with them to get them out there but once in the pasture they ran and jumped like they had found heaven. They however came running back to the barn when they lost sight of me and I must say it sounded like they were being murdered. I came out of the house running and they ran to me like we have been separtated for years. They jumped into my arms and we all gave tons of hugs and kisses. When they felt safe again they went back over to my head pry and napped.
Since they have had the ladies (goat girls) move over to their barn they have not liked the pecking order. Sherlock does not take any pushing or bulling but Watson gets his feelings hurt and he will go sit in a corner. My oldest and kindest Weather (Casper) who has been with them since the move to the barn and he has taken on the task of being Watson's bodyguard. He also is the one to shelter them from the wind and gives the kids first attempts at the water and food. Although Casper is having his own health issues he always thinks of the kids first. While they are getting the last week of their bottles Casper stands and licks my hands and face as the kids drink with fury for every last drop.
This week when we have seen the worst that one person can do - I get to see the kinder side of life in the caring touches and soft voices of my four legged family. Even though they had not the eastiest of early beginnings - Sherlock and Watson truly love for the sake of love.
Thank you for asking about them and I promise I will be posting some pictures soon - as you know if you have an hour of good weather you are doing farm chores. Now that I am the sole caregiver at my farm since the last of my sons has moved in to town, my hours of work are longer but they still fill my heart with more joy then one can measure.
