Posted - Apr 10 2007 : 10:36:29 AM I have a friend here on the Olympic Peninsula who raises chickens, sheep and cut flowers on her farm. Her name is Karen Driscol She has been publishing a wonderful little new paper called "The Egg Carton News" This month she featured a story which included me. I was so excited I had to share it With Mary Jane. Mary Jane has asked me to share it with all of you. I love this little news paper and I think you will too. I will get permission from Karen to post the previous issues too. http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/farmgirl-connection/EggCartonNews.pdf . Eileen

Posted - Apr 15 2007 : 08:02:49 AM Cute paper. Marsha is coming up to shear our sheep Saturday. Karen's name sounds familiar to me, but I'm not sure why. I see she's got a lincoln...any chance she's had icelandics?

Posted - Apr 10 2007 : 2:52:02 PM Eileen, very cute paper! Thanks for posting that. Do you live in Port Townsend? Is there a farmgirl group there? I'm in Port Angeles. Pennie in Sequim started a group but I haven't heard from her since before Christmas. I think the last time she posted was December 19th. Cheryl

Posted - Apr 10 2007 : 11:23:29 AM That's wonderful! I love this--"Spring is here, wake up the Bees!", and March Mudness certainly appeals to the non-basketball fever in me.
Really great article!
