Has anyone ever read "Pack of Two" by Caroline Knapp? I've never read such a perfect description of the relationship between dogs and their people.

A good friend of mine recently lost her Wesite (death) and I checked it out to again read about that special bond.

It touched me so much that I wanted to send Ms. Knapp an email. So I got on the Internet and Googled her tonight. She died in 2002, at age 42, of lung cancer!!!!!!! Lucille, her dog, was with her when she passed. You know how you always feel bad for the human when their dog (or cat) dies? I felt SO heartsick for Lucille!

Sigh. Karin

I haven't read it, but I will look for it. I love my dogs and reading about other peoples special bonds.
I am going to school right now to be a certified dog trainer. One of my passions is rescuing Border Collies. I have two right now and they bring me such joy, I wish everyone could experience the love and loyalty. Even though sometimes I almost feel guilty, it's so much I couldn't possibly deserve it.
