Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 2:34:59 PM I FINALLY got my rabbits to breed this morning! Our female Holland Lop is not very keen on the whole idea and usually shuns the male's tries (he then tries the other end, which my 11 yo son found highly amusing!) Anyway, she had a litter in August and we had no survivors... We had been trying to breed her again for months and then I just gave up for the winter thinking it would be too cold and she wouldn't want to...I was wrong... I sure hope we have better luck this time around. Those babies sure are adorable!
Countdown: 28 days Time enough to build a new nest box for her. Faith

Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 7:13:33 PM I will keep my fingers crossed for your little bunny...my favorite part of watching those bunnies breed is when the male fall off when they have completed their task with a grunt (they kind of look like that guy from laugh in years ago that would fall over)

Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 5:44:13 PM Oh, it cracks me up when the go for the wrong end! We had a pair several years ago; the female couldn't move without the male jumping her...frontwards, sideways, backwards. Poor girl, she just put up with him
