Posted - Jan 22 2007 : 05:48:58 AM oh shes beautiful Jo. I had labs growing up & loved them so much. My last lab died when my daughter was 4 y/old. best dog I ever had, loved him so much. I couldn't shake it, was devistated. I havent had one since. Maybe someday, was a terrible loss, you know?

Posted - Jan 21 2007 : 4:07:28 PM Jo, what a great Photo! How lucky for you and Sophie to have "found" your familiar! Our pets are such important parts of our lives, huh... Your lab looks just like my sister's Gallo. Labs are very sweet. K

Posted - Jan 21 2007 : 12:31:15 PM Love this picture. The eyes do say so much don't they? I have a yellow lab & he is just like my baby. Even when he is bad, can't stay mad at those brown puppy eyes for very long.
Di...my dog will do the same. He knows when I get home for work it is dinner time...even if the kids just fed him. He'll he'll hop around like a kangaroo all excited & then go sit by the pantry door & wait like he is starving. I always have to ask because he has tricked me more than once.

Posted - Jan 21 2007 : 12:22:42 PM No doubt the devotion in a Labbie's eyes is something special. I tear up just thinking of losing my yellow Babe someday, since she's 10 and getting gimpy. Always wanted a Lab and with all the dogs I've had over the years, she's the first. A very appreciative rescue at that, though we didn't know she'd been abused until we brought her home. Love those furry kids! Ronna |

Posted - Jan 21 2007 : 10:40:31 AM There's nothing like a dog's eyes to say I love you unconditionally. In our Lily's case, to stare right into yours and tell you "I haven't been fed in a week" when she just ate! Di |

Posted - Jan 21 2007 : 08:09:12 AM She's absolutely stunning, Jo.
I wish my dogs were clean enough to take a photo like this!!!! My soul mate is my Finnegan (his name means white or fair haired) but he, unfortunately is a forever shade of taupe!
Just think of all of the roads there are...all of the things I haven't seen....yet. |
