Posted - Jan 07 2017 : 11:11:10 AM I'm not sure where to post this, so I figured I would try here... our family is a homeschooling family. For my younger children, I use Five in a Row. The week after this upcoming one, we are going to take a good look at "Warm as Wool." I was wondering if anyone has sheep and might be able to spare a small amount of wool... in any stage of the process... for me to be able to show the children what sheep wool really looks like and feels like? Thank you for any help you can give!!!

The wool is going out in the mail today. Sorry it took so long - we had a major snow/ice storm last week and it threw our whole schedule off!

Posted - Jan 07 2017 : 3:34:55 PM We actually have a couple types now. We adopted an orphan Katahdin lamb a couple years ago - we went away for a weekend and came home to find she had made herself at home with the cows! We couldn't find where she came from so we kept her. We then picked up two more Katadhin (although we think they were really Katadhin/Dorper crosses) to keep her company. We learned that their babies are too small for market 4H lambs, so we picked up two Suffolk ewes last summer to join our flock. Babies should arrive anytime now and we'll have Kath Katahdin lambs and Katadhin/Suffolk lambs.

Posted - Jan 07 2017 : 3:02:10 PM I could probably send you some raw wool. We have meat sheep, not hair sheep, but they do shed and I can pull some off the fence and send it. PM me your address!
