Any dairy goat owners on here? Do any of you run a dairy? I have a herd of Nubians and getting ready for kidding season to start here the end of the month. Miss having the milk and can't wait for the milking to begin. I make soft cheeses and yogurt with the extra milk.

Yes, we have 8 Nigerian Dwarf does and a buck. All registered. We live in the timber country in Oregon. We do not milk for dairy. Instead these are pets but we do kid them for fun. They have a great goat barn and access to lots of pasture. Life is good here at Jewelbox Farms in Vernonia Oregon.

I have a 5 goats, but no one bred this year - kidding season is fun! One of my good pals has a nigerian herd, and another has boers - so I go visit kids when I don't have any of our own!

Soft cheese is my favorite, enjoy mixing in herbs - never lasts long here.

You will have to post some pics of those Nubian kids when they are on the ground!

We have 7 does bred. Our first one is due the end of February. Love kidding season! We just started showing our does last year. Looking forward to this years shows to see how the does do. It is fun meeting other goat owner friends at the shows. We do have some LaMancha/Nubian crosses that milk well.

My cousin has a small herd of Nubians, she's also getting ready for the kidding season.

Love our fresh goat milk! We have 2 goats as pets when the kids were young. We got into dairy goats in 2012 for the health benefits of the milk versus store bought cow's milk.

I used to have a few dairy goats. Since we moved and are now renting, we don't have any livestock. I am really feeling the yearning for more goats! Nothing beats some fresh goat milk.
