We've had a LOT of snow since just before Christmas and we've noticed our yard is frequented by lots of bunnies and deer visitors.
We've seen tracks for both creatures all around the house and across our deck. The deer have made some trails across the yard right in front of the house, to the road and other areas on our property.

We had noticed the bunnies munching on the grass that was poking up where the neighbor had plowed our driveway. So we started giving them little bunches of hay . . .the dregs left from a bale after we've fed our cows.

With all this snow, they have to really dig deep to find food!
This little guy is just at the end of the walkway off of our deck.
Our kitty loves to sit in the windows around the house and watch them

P.S. She sits in EVERY window in the house, except the one over the kitchen sink, to keep an eye on things. I won't let her get in that one because it means she'd be walking on the counter and that is ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED!!!!! But it's not a problem as there are plenty of other windows to sit in!

Thanks Marly! She is a tortoiseshell kitty, three years old. A very friendly, active, affectionate kitty! She's been a blessing!

Hahahaha, I recognize that kitty stare!!! My cat does the same thing with our birds and squirrels in the yard. We also have a lot of moles in our yard and earlier this week, my cat brought me a gift! They are cute little grey things and I hate that my cat kills them. However, we must have dozens that live in and around the bushes and other plants. He doesn't ever try and eat them, he just kills them and leaves them for me. Like I'm going to eat them?? LOL!!!

CJ!!!!!!!!! Silky is beautiful! She is a curious cat, for sure! My cat, Gracie, is afraid of her shadow, she will not even look out of a window. LOL
Thanks for posting the picture of Silky. Hugs to both of you.

Okay, here is Silky keeping an eye on bunnies . . . and birds!

As you can see, the snow is melted off the yard (south exposure) to the fence around the orchard. BUT, we have had at least two feet on the ground at once, making it hard for critters to find food. I'm glad for the warmer weather and melt off!

Marly,
I'll see if I can capture a photo of her. She does it every morning. We put the blinds down at night and she jumps on her perch under the window and BEGS me to open the blind if I haven't done it already!

CJ: I'd love to see a picture of your Kitty looking out the window hoping to see a bunny!

No sign of bunnies here, though the coyotes look quite healthy.

CJ, that is something I would never have thought of here as we do not get the snow like you do.

Cj, you are so sweet to help those bunnies out! He is so cute! I am jealous. We haven’t had any visitors at our house yet this year, except a pesky magpie who thinks the side of my house needs some rearranging.
