Here's me in my bee suit. I bought an extra large to accommodate my large bosom but this thing is so big the crotch hangs down to my knees.

Here's me opening the hive box. I painted some cute pics on the box and the word 'enter' with an arrow...just to make sure they knew where the door is.

Here's a frame with my precious little creatures. I just love my bees.

Thanks for sharing your pics! We had bee hives years ago. Bees ended up swarming. So Sad.
We often would offer our meat eating friends a "side of bee for their freezer". They would get all excited until they realized what we had really offered.

Thank you for sharing you bee photos with us. Would so love to be a beekeeper, but it is against our zoning code. I need to move!

As for you suit, a knee hanging crotch is fashionable today! So you're styling girl friend! lol

WOOOOOW....can just taste your honey, yummy!

My hives are coming next year so still reading trying to learn.
Did you take a bee class? Did you buy used hive frames or start with new clean ones?

You look adorable, Catherine! Seriously! I hope they don't swarm. How sad that would be... I would love to start beekeeping. Someday! :)

All the rain we've been having has upset the little ecosystem of my bees. I've been feeding them a sugar water to help with the lack of pollen and nectar.

I opened the hive to check on them and they have eaten up almost all the honey they had made. Plus, I saw some supercedure cells (queen cells). Either something happened to the queen, or the bees are preparing to swarm and leave. I don't want to lose my bees!!!

Love the song, Amy.

Sara, it does seem scary at first to be around so many bees. But, they are so busy and preoccupied that they hardly stop what they're doing to pay attention to me. A few of the guard bees will approach my face net and check me out and then go back to the hive.

Catherine, you sure are styling! Must add you are brave too. I don't think I could have enough suits on to get me be that close to a swarm of bees.

Have a blessed day, Sara
