Waiting for the UPS truck to bring our bees this morning! I ordered 3 nucs for my DH's birthday. He and DS spent most of last week moving and cleaning hives. Now I have an excuse to plant a ton of flowers!!!

Lora, that's great. I have to fight the urge to look at my hive frames. If I knew it wouldn't disturb them, I'd open up the hive and watch the bees.

Like you, I can't wait for the honey.

The bees did arrive and the bees are doing well. I cautiously went out for a visit yesterday after the rain. Lots of activity. We let out dandelions grow along with all the other flowers that are blooming right now. Can't wait for honey later on.

Lora, have the bees arrived and are they doing well?

I agree about having an excuse to plant flowers. I love wildflowers and even those flowers that most other people see as weeds. In preparation for the season, I seeded about an acre with Crimson Clover seed and Texas Bluebonnet seed. OMG, it's beautiful. My bees are so happy. I'll sit and watch the entrance of the hive and they exit and immediately fly to the flowers.

That is so exciting! I want a bigger piece of property before I get bees, especially with my children being so young.... but I am super excited for you!!!!
